The TJ's IGA Nathalia Show and Shine & Swap Meet was a very successful day with the weather turning it on for the Show. It was a great show with cars coming from far and wide to attend the event. It was a big couple of days for the little Rotary Club with Show & Shine set up on the Saturday afternoon and then a very early start on Sunday. It was all finished and packed up by 1pm, after it was decided to go down to the Middle Pub for a cold beer.

On behalf of the Rotary Club of Nathalia we would like to congratulate all the award winners of the show and hope all return again in 2025.
The Rotary Club would like to thank the Nathalia CFA, Men’s Shed, Nathalia Angling Club, Rotary Club of Numurkah, Neale Hawks, Luke Quinn, Loraine Greenwood, Marie O’Brien, Declan King, Bill and Carolyn King and Eve and John Attwood, plus thanks to all the Rotarians who attended the event. Without these people and organisations we would not be able to conduct the Show & Shine. We are already looking forward to the 2025 event.
On Tuesday morning Rotarian Ross Smith attended and chaired the Probus AGM at the Dancocks Rooms. Ross on behalf of the Rotary Club gave best wishes to the Probus Club for the next 12 months.
On Wednesday the 21st of March, it is the Rotary Club’s turn to host the Rotary Club of Numurkah for the annual Les Lawrence Memorial Shield, for which we will be playing lawn bowls. We are looking forward to hosting our neighbours and lets hope we can reclaim the shield again. I’m hoping to report we won against Numurkah in our next article.
Yes, then it’s Easter, and that means it is the Easter Bush Bash Spinning Wheel time. We have started to organise prizes and tickets for the spinning wheel which again is very well supported by the community.
After Easter we are hoping to take a big deep breath after a very busy start to 2024 and then it will soon be Changeover time again.
If anyone is interested in joining Rotary please contact Ross Smith or Anthony Oliver.
